Association Football

Football was adopted as a major team sport for the whole school in 1998 and is predominantly played during the Spring Term.

We run regular A & B teams throughout the school with some fixtures arranged for C and D teams. We have 3 senior teams in the Sixth Form with the First XI have a very challenging fixture list, including entry into the prestigious ISFA U18 Boodles Cup and play against the mens side Corinthian Casuals. 2009 also saw the senior squad travel to Valencia, Spain for 5 days coaching & 2 competitivie matches.

We host our own Year 3 tournament and in Year 6 our pupils travel to Jersey for a football festival. We have a very experienced set of teachers who coach the teams and also two professional coaches who assist in the development of our players.

During the Spring term, team players are also given the opportunity to practice twice a week on top of their regular games session. In the Autumn and Summer terms there are weekly coachng sessions.

We have helped many players reach representative honours and had numerous pupils involved with professional soccer academies.
