Curriculum PE
Physical Education is a vital part of BMS life. All pupils get at least one lesson per cycle, with pupils in Year 9 and below receiving considerably more. A wide variety of activities are covered.
Great emphasis is placed upon the development of skills at all levels, and pupils are taught how to put these skills into game situations as appropriate. In recent years, there has been much publicity about the need for a healthy lifestyle, and it is hoped that all pupils will leave BMS with a desire to continue taking part in regular exercise in an activity or sport they have discovered in their time here.
Many pupils further their interest in the subject by opting to study PE at either GCSE or AS/A2 Level which are an addition to the curriculum PE time.
