House Sport
The House System at BMS, was first conceived in 1882, as a focal point for internal competition, mainly for sporting events.
The six houses in the Senior School are Farrar, Rose, Oatley, Mobbs, Bell and Tilden. They are named after our most prominent OBMs who had gained national or international recognition in their field. Each house competes in their own house colours.
The aims of the house system are to provide a broad range of competitive, cultural, intellectual and physical activities, demanding high standards, increased learning through experience, offering leadership and organisational opportunities.
We currently run house competitions in the following sports:
Rugby Cricket Rounders Netball Rowing Football Swimming Water Polo Sailing Watersports Snooker Tennis
Shooting Badminton Athletics Steeplechase Golf Hockey
Bowling Table Tennis
