Extra-Curricular Swimming
This takes place mainly in the Junior Years (5-8) as there are many competitions and it tends to be before specialisation has taken place. There is a weekly Junior Swim Club which is a supplement to the curriculum lessons and is open to all students in Years 4-8.
There are a variety of school matches for both boys and girls and some are mixed. The School also enters the national championships that take place for these age groups.
Beyond Year 8 there is the occasional school match and the School regularly enters the Public Schools Relays.
The better swimmers are encouraged to join outside clubs and the best swimmer currently in the school is ranked 4th in the country in his age group.
Synchronised Swimming
All Swimming Club attendees have been introduced to the basic movements of this Olympic Sport and it is hoped that an after-school club will be established very shortly.
