Water Polo

In order to keep students involved in the pool the School runs a very competitive water polo programme. The game is introduced to Year 6 students in curriculum swimming lessons with the aim to enthuse them to join in the game from Year 7.

In the main school water polo increasingly becomes an extra-curricular sport with all training taking place after school.

There are many competitions to enter and the school has an excellent record of success. They have won the National Senior Championships 5 times and been runners up on many occasions also. They have also medalled in the U/16 and U/14 competitions often.

We already have an Under 13 girls’ team who are learning the game and competing locally. There are National Girls’ Championships to enter though the better girls can play with the boys up to the age of 16.
